M@rix Solutions Limited was co-founded in the Spring of 2001 by Jim Chitty and Brian Walter who, along with many of the current M@rix Associates were often the resource sent in by others to undertake Job Evaluation projects. Unfortunately with little or no involvement in how the projects were planned, operated and managed they felt ignored when offering advice on how to make improvements when they saw things going wrong. Therefore, their future became crystal clear – set up their own company and make the changes necessary to allow fast, cost effective and consistent Job Evaluation projects to be completed.

Although specialising in Job Evaluation, M@rix have also gathered together a highly qualified group of HR professionals who have delivered a wide range of additional services including Organisational Design, Equal Opportunities Policy, Management Development Programmes, Executive Coaching and Best Value Projects.
